Little is known of Arvid Garrett’s life other than his participation in Three Sharps And A Flat in the late 1930s (which became The Sharps And Flats in 1947), and then the numerous sessions he participated in in 1947, including Sonny Thompson’s famous Long Gone parts 1 & 2, the Los Angeles doo-wop group The Accents (late 1950s) as well as an apparently unrecorded participation in Cliff Given’s Ink Spots, Charles Gray’s Ink Spots and Orlando Roberson’s Ink Spots in the 1960s and early 1970s.
