June 1, 1923 – July 2, 1991
Born June 1, 1923 in New Orleans, he was part of the Cosimo Matassa’s Studio Band directed by Dave Bartholomew and played on many of the recordings for Johnny Vincent’s Ace label.
Less known than Ernest McLean, Edgar Blanchard, Roy Montrell and Walter “Papoose” Nelson, and other New Orleans R&B guitarists.
He died on July 2, 1991 in New Orleans.
This work is obviously very incomplete given the little information that has been able to leak.
