June 8, 1934-February 3, 1996
One of the two great session guitarists in New York with Mickey Baker, recognizable by his so-called scratching style, willingly biting the strings, attacking ferociously.
He worked mainly for the producer brothers Danny and Bobby Robinson.
He stopped for fifteen years before finding his friends Larry Dale and Noble Watts again and starting again first at the Terra Blues Club in Harlem, then on tour in Europe.
He died in Los Angeles on February 24, 2014.
